History

JUSTIFICATION: Dr. Milton Klein, the University’s Historian, recommended that outstanding women connected with UT be honored on an annual basis. In 1995, the Commission for Women inaugurated the Notable UTK Women Award to recognize women at the University. The award was setup to honor faculty and staff, alumnae, or administrators for outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the University.
