An alumna of UTK, Serena Bowman holds three degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, and a Master of Business Administration. In addition, Bowman delivers results with 20+ years of experience and achievements in fast-paced, high-volume production plants overseeing process improvement projects, manufacturing operations, quality programs, HR responsibilities, and industrial engineering with several industry-leading companies. She has a background in business analytics, cost analysis, budgeting and planning, vendor evaluation and selection, quality control, procurement, project maintenance management in both the consumer electronics and consumer home decor industry. Both Bowman’s career and business have succeeded due to her ability to produce cost-effective, timely product through flexibility and the ability to foster positive business relations through strong lines of communication between staff, management, and customers.

All four of her children—including her triplets—are students here on Rocky Top. The city where Bowman met her husband, Knoxville has been her home for forty years. She enjoys cooking, painting, gardening, and traveling. Ever the learner, Bowman recently began drum lessons.
