Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Fall 2021 Snapshot
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Division of Diversity and Engagement serves to develop, sustain, and nurture a welcoming and inclusive campus community in which everyone feels valued and has a sense of belonging. Recognizing that diversity is a source of strength and innovation, we partner with colleges and units to create a campus that reflects the many cultures and perspectives that exist within the state.
In alignment with the university’s strategic goals, we support recruitment and retention of students, faculty, and staff from historically underrepresented populations. As part of that effort, we work to identify the needs of campus stakeholders and provide guidance on how to foster a greater sense of belonging among all Vols.
