Action Items


  • Provide training and educational/informational sessions
  • Advocate for inclusion of disability issues in campus diversity communications
  • Provide mandatory accessibility training for instructors and campus community
  • Update and implement campus Accessibility Report produced by the 2015 Accessibility Implementation Team
  • Establish a campus accessibility policy that encompasses events, educational materials, technology, etc.
  • Create a clearinghouse website for disability information and resources and raise accessibility concerns
  • Implement a campus-wide accessibility survey
  • Gather information about the campus disability community
  • Develop an awareness campaign for the commission specifically and disability on campus more generally
  • Create a detailed directory of disability resources and groups on campus
